Dear legal guardians,

The International School Edward Steichen collects personal data as part of your child's enrolment. In accordance with the European Regulation EU 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (DGPS), please find below some explanations on this subject.
Applying to the amended law of 18 March 2013 (Loi modifiée du 18 mars 2013 relative aux traitements de données à caractère personnel concernant les élèves), the International School Edward Steichen collects personal data in the framework of your child's enrolment in the said school and in accordance with the purposes prescribed by the aforementioned amended law of 2013.
These personal data are accessible only to authorised school staff in the context of the performance of their duties and the realisation of the above-mentioned purposes.
The recipients of this processing are those set out in Article 6 of the above-mentioned amended law of 2013.
As indicated in the registration form, some data will also be collected with your consent in order to ensure the organisation of your child's school career. These data are kept for the strictly necessary period of 7 years12 and will only be accessible to the school's staff in the performance of their duties and the realisation of the stated purposes. In addition, these data may be processed for statistical purposes.
The legal provisions on the protection of personal data, in particular the rights granted to the data subjects by the carried out processing operations (access right to the data, rectification right of data, right to delete voluntarily entered data, etc.), shall apply under the relevant conditions and subject to the exceptions and derogations provided for.

If you believe, after having contacted us, that your rights with regard to your data have not been respected, you may submit a complaint to the National Commission for Data Protection, based at 15, Boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux (www.cnpd.lu).
The refusal to provide the mandatory data concerning the data of the student and the representatives, the refusal to provide them within the prescribed period or the fact of intentionally providing inaccurate or incomplete information, are punishable by a fine of 25 to 250 Euros by virtue of Article 9 of the same law (Article 3, paragraph (2) of the above-mentioned amended law of 18 March 2018).
